'Make Moves Towards
Solutions' Supervision I am qualified to offer professional one to one or group
supervision face to face for counsellors, counsellors in training and other
professions. For those who are in training and seeking supervision for
accreditation purposes we will need to discuss what criteria will be needed
for your awarding body. For example, the BPS require
counsellors to have a minimum amount of supervision to the amount of clients
you are seeing per month i.e. 1 hour of supervision to 6 clients. The
BACP require a minimum of 90 minutes supervision per month. We can
discuss your needs when you telephone me on 07786073898 and negotiate fees
and hours before you proceed with supervision. I do not carry out e-mail supervision as most awarding bodies
do not accept this as an acceptable means of supervision. As a member of the BPS I am bound by their Code of Ethics and it's Complaints Procedure and as such have to have my own
ongoing supervision, which I have on a fortnightly basis. As a supervisor I would be obliged to take action if your
practice is unethical but would consult and approach you first before any
action is taken. The purpose of supervision is to ensure the efficacy
of the counsellor/client relationship and is a formal arrangement by the
supervisee and supervisor to enable us to discuss your client cases on a
regular basis. If you are interested in supervision, the next step would be
to have a supervision contract which includes fees, hours, emergency contact,
review of progress, caseload, case presentation,
client responsibility, supervisor concerns, confidentiality, supervisor
accountability and grievances. The contract would also contain items specific
to your individual needs. If you are interested in receiving supervision please either
telephone 07786073898 or e-mail me debs@freedom-counselling.co.uk |
