Background

I am a qualified Chartered Counselling Psychologist.  I have a BPS approved BSc (Hons) in psychology, Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Psychology with distinction.  I also have an MSc in Counselling Psychology and Post MSc in Counselling Psychology and are a Chartered Scientist. 

I have vast experience working with people of all ages and are qualified as a play therapist with children and teenagers with complex difficulties, and have worked for various schools and 'The Place 2 Be'.  I have also worked for a year as a student counsellor for a prestigious college and have worked with people who are homeless.  I have been a Clinical Manager of a drugs and alcohol organisation and set up counselling services for organisations such as prisons, drug and alcohol organisations all over the country.  I also guest lecture at various universities all over the country and as far as Portsmouth. 

I specialise in trauma using EMDR, alcoholism, eating disorders, phobias, depression, post traumatic stress disorders and obsessional compulsive disorders amongst other issues and mental health difficulties.

I work to an integrated model and are proficient in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychoanalysis, Person Centred, Creative Projective Techniques, Solution Focussed and other therapeutic techniques. I also have a Diploma in Complete Mind Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, Advanced Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and are qualified as a Rapid Results Pain Consultant.  I take my training very seriously and keep myself up to date with all the latest techniques and models of therapy.  Please see qualifications page.
